Laura Rae Bernasconi- Ballet Bernasconi - Mudita Arts for Peace, Laura Rae Bernasconi raises awareness and funds for organizations who peacefully promote human and environmental rights. As the founder of Ballet Bernasconi, Mudita Arts for Peace, Laura is a dancer, choreographer, wellness instructor and teacher of ballet, hatha yoga, AcroYoga, Shi'atsu and Thai massage and Odissi Indian Temple dance, Laura works internationally with schools and companies such as the Nederlands Dans Theater l & ll, Henny Jurriens Foundation, the Norwegian National Ballet, Studio Wayne McGregor, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Scapino Ballet, Danish Dance Theater, Peridance Capezio Center, Balletakademien Stockholm, Bern Ballet, Tanz NRW, Ballet Mainz, ODC, Australian Dance Theater, Carte Blanche, Skanes Dance Theater, La La La Human Steps, Norrdans, Nord Netherlands Dance, Amy Seiwert's Imagery, Smuin Ballet, Yuri Zhukov, Codarts, San Francisco School of the Arts, DeStilte.

Laura's work as a dancer and choreographer has been hailed by the SF Gate and Bay Guardian as "dances to watch, striking, fluid, lyrical, joyous, outstanding, clear, finely hued, elegantly stylized, profoundly erotic, incredible, surprising, tonic, lively." Combining classical and contemporary ballet, Odissi temple dance, AcroYoga, tribal fusion and improvisation, Laura's classes and creations are offered through empathy, compassion and mudita (vicarious joy) using principles of the Alexander Technique, Gyrokenisis, Gyrotonic, Tai Chi, Chi Qong and the Chinese Acupuncture system, lending a healthful approach to ballet that focuses on individual needs of each student.
