Focusing on the integration of fluidity, form, and floor work, this class begins with individual exploration of the body’s architecture and progresses through forms of effort and improvisation.
About Emily Terndrup
Emily Terndrup is a performer, choreographer, and director based in New York City. A former company dancer of Gallim Dance (2012-14), she performed Andrea Miller's athletic choreography throughout the US, Europe, and South America. Emily has spent much of the past eight years working in immersive dance theater as a performer and rehearsal director for Punchdrunk's acclaimed 'Sleep No More' (2012-2019) in both New York and Shanghai. She has also collaborated and performed with Luke Murphy-Attic Projects, Shannon Gillen + Guests, and Gregory Dolbashian. Currently, Emily is a rehearsal director at Gallim, and the Creative Director for The McKittrick Hotel, crafting content and choreography for their celebrated immersive parties. Emily’s other choreographic projects have been presented at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (D.C), Lincoln Center's Clark Studio Theater (NY), The Knockdown Center (NY), and The Packing House (CO).
