Jason joined VIM VIGOR in his last year of studies at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance. Since receiving his BFA he has taught at many institutions including the Juilliard School, NYU Tisch, the University of Michigan, Barnard College and Columbia University. Additionally he has collaborated with Shannon Gillen on creations for LA Dance Project, Gibney Dance Company and Springboard Danse Montreal. Jason performs in Sleep No More with PunchDrunk NYC.
Class Description:
Our ability to learn is defined by our ability to play. In class we use games, exercises and improvisation to better understand our instincts. This class is a study of effort and efficiency. We use the floor to reveal new textures within the body. Through highly physical movement we reveal our emotional capacity.
