Commissioned by a.i.m by kyle abraham

World Premiere | 2018 | The Joyce Theater

state captures five states of a woman and the deep connections women build to hold each other up and the urgency and beauty of individual expression. Set to the music of pop artist RIVKA.

state originally commissioned by A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, was made possible with support from Jody and John Arnhold, a music commission grant from the O’Donnell-Green Music and Dance Foundation, and additional funding from the Harkness Foundation for Dance.
